The Association of College Educators-Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ACE‑DHH) invites you to join us for the 2027 ACE‑DHH Conference, a national convening dedicated to advancing educational research, teacher preparation, and program development in deaf education.
ACE-DHH is a community of university faculty, researchers, and educators who prepare future teachers and professionals in deaf education. We also advance the field by producing current research that provides innovative approaches for teachers and schools to enhance academic outcomes for deaf students. Our work strengthens teaching and improves educational outcomes for Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing (DDBDDHH) students in K-12 schools.
From January 29-31, 2027, professionals from across the country and globe will meet in Boston, Massachusetts, to share their latest research findings, examine emerging challenges, and build collaborations. The conference provides a unique space where research, practice, and training intersect in a deaf-centered space. What sets ACE-DHH apart from other conferences is its emphasis on scholarship, best practices, and educator preparation that promote multilingual and multimodal approaches.
Our 2027 theme, “Building Bridges: Expanding Collaboration and Access,” reflects our commitment to strengthening connections among institutions, disciplines, and communities so we can better serve deaf children and expand opportunities for their futures. Conference sessions are organized across three strands:
-
Teaching and Learning - language, communication, pedagogy, and the instructional decision‑making that shapes diverse learning contexts
-
Program Transformation and Development - program transformation, workforce development, teacher preparation, and leadership practices that respond to community needs
-
Systems Work - equity, access, inclusion, policy, partnerships, systems change, and the broader structures that shape educational experiences
Sponsorship offers your organization a meaningful way to engage directly with leaders in educational research and teacher preparation who play a critical role in deaf education, including interpreting education, ASL education, and inclusive education. This is your opportunity to support their ambition and commitment to advancing academic excellence and dismantling barriers for deaf students, their teachers, and college professors. Beyond the conference, ACE-DHH serves as an ongoing resource and network that advances knowledge, innovation, and professional preparation across the field of deaf education.
We offer several sponsorship levels designed to give your organization visibility within the ACE‑DHH conference and community. We invite you to review the enclosed tiers and consider joining us in Boston. Please contact the ACE‑DHH Treasurer at acedhhtreas@gmail.com with any questions or to confirm your participation.
